[Image description: A gouache painting of Adolin Kholin from The Stormlight Archive. He sits on a couch upholstered in red fabric with gold details, facing slightly to the right, with one leg on the couch and the other hanging off. He wears a plain white shirt and brown pants, as well as simple blue earrings. He looks down at the fabric he’s mending, which is draped over his lap - a blue uniform coat with white lining, gold aiguillettes, and a Bridge Four patch on one shoulder. There are several decorative pillows on the couch, and there’s a white and gold cup balanced on the left arm. Part of a side table is visible to the left, and there’s a matching pitcher. Steam curls from both cup and pitcher, and crosses over the clear blue sky. The coral curtains behind the couch have been pulled open and blow in the wind. There’s a small signature in the bottom right that reads, “MW.” End ID.]
PROBLEM: your quartermaster is approximately one torn, singed, or otherwise mangled uniform away from stringing you up in a highstorm, and you’ve just gotten another rip in your current one SOLUTION: adolin?
In one of my classes we read your short nonfiction work about libraries, and I wanted to get your opinion on this. I realize libraries have clubs and classes and free WiFi and whatnot, but if you cannot (or choose not) to go to your library, is a library app (such as Libby or Overdrive) an acceptable substitute for just the (audio)books?
I’m all for libraries; I volunteered at my public library when I was a middle-to-junior-high-schooler and still love the place. However, I don’t have time to go, and ebooks are convenient. I suppose I just wanted your opinion on the whole thing, though of course you’re not obligated to answer. Thank you in advance.
god my favorite part of knitting/crocheting/etc is watching string become fabric. crumpling it in my hands. this fabric would’ve never existed had I not willed it into being. it isn’t fabric, it’s time made physical. made material. isn’t that the high of crafting? you mold time between your hands and put it into other people’s hands. my least favorite part is when my cat tries to cram the whole yarn ball into his mouth
